- Yes, first check that it is plugged in and has power. Is the monitor plugged in with power? Make sure the monitor is attached to the video on the computer.
- Do you see anything on the screen when you try to power up the computer?
- I hear nothing at all. I see nothing on the screen. Most likely problem is the power supply or the motherboard.
- You hear the sounds of it booting up, but see nothing? Try plugging the monitor into another computer. If it works, then you may have a video problem . If it has a separate card, try replacing it. If the video is on the motherboard, the motherboard may need to be replaced. You may need help.
- You see the initial screen, but cannot get to Windows. Possible problems are the hard drive. Probably needs replacement. DIY or call for help.
- If you know how to replace parts, you may want to try this yourself.
- If you are having trouble following this, you probably need help from someone.
